Carl E. Locke, Sr. is a licensed State of Florida Certified General Contractor with over 50 years experience in the construction business, centered on heavy commercial and industrial construction. Mr. Locke oversees the general operation of the business in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
Carl E. Locke, Jr. (Ed), President is a licensed State of Florida Certified General Contractor and State of Florida Roofing Contractor, holds a Master's Degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida, and has over 30 years experience in the construction industry, including construction management. Ed is in charge of the day-to-day operation of the company as it relates to all project management and field personnel related matters.
Jennifer Sturgis, Vice President is a Certified LEED Accredited Professional and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Florida. She has been with the company for 13 years and is responsible for contract administration, marketing, and the day-to-day operation of the administrative staff. Jennifer oversees the functions of payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all other administrative duties related to personnel, vendors, and clients.
Shane Locke, Treasurer has a finance degree from Florida State University and has extensive experience in the banking industry. Shane coordinates the long-term financial management of the company with the day-to-day operations of the other departments.
Carl Coker, Industrial Division Manager has over 40 years experience in industrial construction and maintenance and is a certified Mine Safety and Health Administration Instructor. Mr. Coker is in charge of all estimating and supervision related to industrial maintenance work and is considered an expert in the repair and maintenance of draglines.
Mac McMillen, Commercial Division Manager has over 25 years of experience in all phases of construction and currently manages the commercial division that includes concrete work, general carpentry and other related items. He also leads most projects completed in the public sector.
Mike Starling, Metal Building Division Manager has over 25 years experience in the construction industry, the last 15 concentrated in the prefabricated metal building arena. Mr. Starling manages all phases of construction of metal buildings in both the commercial and industrial fields for SEMCO.
